Solar Installation and Service Engineer

PVolt will be a leading provider of solar energy solutions and we are seeking experienced and highly motivated Solar Installation and Service Engineers to join our growing team in the UK. As a Solar Installation and Service Engineer at PVolt, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining solar energy systems for residential, commercial and large scale installations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, batteries, and other components.
• Conduct site surveys to determine the best location for solar panels and evaluate the feasibility of the project.
• Design and engineer solar energy systems to meet customer needs and maximise energy output.
• Troubleshoot and repair solar energy systems to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Provide exceptional customer service and educate customers on the benefits of solar energy.

What we require in experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar energy system installation and maintenance in the UK.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and experience with electrical work.
• Knowledge of solar energy technologies and experience with solar panel installation and wiring.
• Experience with power tools and other construction equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field or relevant field based experience or demonstrable experience in the role.
• Certification from the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across the UK.
